Proper eye and ear protection are required for everyone on EEGC property.

Both can be purchased at the clubhouse

by the public range or you can bring your own.

Prescription lenses will usually fill the requirement for eye protection.

PUBLIC RANGE HOURS AND FEES - WINTER HOURS

Our public shooting range is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the Winter and Spring months unless otherwise posted. Fees for the public range are:    

$10 per person age 14 and older per day.

$2 per youth (under age 14) per day.

Active duty military, National Guard, reserves free with valid military identification.

Matches are held on the outdoor pistol range.  Sign up starts at 9 a.m. and shooting starts at 10 a.m.  Cost is $5.00 per shooter.  Matches are held according to the rules of the World Rimfire and Air Rifle Benchrest Federation and the US affiliate USA Air Rifle Benchrest. Rules can be viewed on the WRABF web site with additional classes of Unlimited and Springer at the USA site.

We will be firing all USBR sanctioned classes as well as two semi-auto only classes, one for box stock rifles with a 10X maximum scope power and an $8.00 per box of 50 limit for ammo and an unlimited class where anything goes so long as it's safe and legal.

The semi-auto classes will fire two targets at 25 yards and two at 50 yards, each target has 25 bulls plus as many sighters as you want so bring plenty of ammo.  USBR sanctioned class rules can be found at the USBR web site at www.usbr.benchrest.net.

Join us the first Sunday of the month in our USBR Centerfire Rifle Match on the 200 yard range from  9am-1pm.  Set up at 9am and match begins at 10am. Non-members are welcome!

There is a $5.00 entry fee for both EEGC members and non-members, which includes $1.00 for USBR as these are sanctioned matches.

There will be 5 different rifle classes (Plinker, Sporter/Hunter, Factory, Varmint and Unlimited). Any center fire rifle less than a 50 caliber can qualify for one of the five United States Benchrest classes.

The match will consist of five 12 minute relays with 20 minutes between each relay to reload or prepare for the next relay.  Targets will be placed at 100 yards. Twenty-five (25) shots for record, plus unlimited sighters.

This is designed to be a fun shoot where almost anything goes but records are recorded on a national basis.  Check our event calendar for match dates.

Rifle weight classes: 10.5 lbs and over; 8.5 - 10.4 lbs; and 6.5 - 8.4 lbs.

Grand Aggregate consists of two 10-shot targets at 100 yards and two 10-shot targets at 200 yards shot on the 25-ring target.  

Shooting a .22LR at 100 and 200 yards is challenging and frequently humiliating.  Matches in 2012 are scheduled 6/24, 9/23, 10/28, 11/25, 12/23. Shooting starts at 10 am and usually ends about 12:30. Come on out and have some fun!  It beats staying home and doing yard work.

Economy ammo match - The ammo provided for the match was Federal Champion, $17.90 a brick (500 rounds) at BiMart.

.22 auto rifle match - No bolt action rifles.  Only factory stocks and magazine fed rifles. Ruger 10/22’s are very popular at these matches.
