CMP Website Back (history) CMP Match Rules (Coming soon!)

Twice each year, typically in July and in January, our club’s regular CMP shooters get together with the Home Guard shooters for what they call the Grudge Match.  To them, it’s the most important shooting competition since the invention of gunpowder.  The CMP has won top honors for the last few years.

The course of fire for the Grudge Match consists of a total of about 50 shots.  First, two relays of ten shots are fired at 100 yard targets from the benches.  Second, one offhand relay of as many shots as needed to get ten rounds on target at 100 yards is shot.  Lastly, two relays of ten shots are fired at 200 yard targets from the bench.

Our club has rifles that members can borrow to compete in these matches as long as you carefully clean it after the match is over. Match fees are $2.00 and ammunition is sometimes available for purchase.
